Fender Standard Series—Swirl

I’m lucky enough to own a Fender Stratocaster and a Fender Squier Telecaster. I love them both. But that doesn’t stop me from looking at the other models that are out there. Recently I discovered the Fender Standard Series guitars had introduced a swirl finish for both the Stratocaster and the Telecaster. Both look awesome!

Each swirl finish is unique which allows you to own a one-off Fender masterpiece. So they look amazing and nobody else has one like yours. Win-win. Apart from the obvious visual appeal, the components of each guitar are the Fender standards you’d expect.

Stratocaster

  • Alder body
  • Maple neck (with rosewood fingerboard)
  • 21 medium jumbo frets
  • Master volume and tone controls for the middle and neck pickups
  • Fender humbucker (bridge) and single coil pickups (middle and neck positions)
  • 5 position blade pickup selector
  • 6-saddle vintage-style synchronised tremolo bridge

Telecaster

  • Alder body
  • Maple neck
  • 21 medium jumbo frets
  • Master volume and tone controls
  • Fender single coil bridge and neck pickups
  • 3 position blade pickup selector
  • 6 saddle string-through-body bridge with block saddles

Apart from the humbucker on the Stratocaster, there’s nothing in either of those lists that stands out from the norm. That swirl finish however, that’s definitely out of the norm. And I love it. Check the official website for the full-colour greatness.
