Sometimes I find myself actively searching for a new guitar company to include in my weekly wishlist series and sometimes I just stumble upon one. Luckily for me, Legator Guitars is one of the companies I stumbled upon. I discovered Legator Guitars on Instagram and I’m glad I did. They make some outstanding looking guitars—particularly the Helio Series H200.
For those of you that have been following the 52 Guitars series, you’ll know I have a thing for black and/or white guitars. The Helio H200 comes in both black and a white models (as well as a pretty decent looking red finish). Actually there are two different black models to choose from—awesome. My favourite is absolutely the white model though. The balance between the Indian Rosewood fretboard and the white finish works perfectly. The black humbuckers have a similar effect when set into the white guitar finish. All that chrome hardware doesn’t hurt either.
So, what do you get in the Helio H200? You’d need a list for that!
- Legator Alnico Dual Humbuckers (HNH1 and HBH1)
- Volume and tone (push/pull) controls
- 3-way pickup selector switch
- Legator Heat Treated Steel S2 Saddle (I love the angle it sits at on the guitar)
- Custom Legator CR diecast tuning pegs
The Helio H200 also features a set neck which only adds to the beauty of this guitar. Viewed from the back, there’s so much seamless white you’d be mad not to love it. Plus when the guitar has a sexy headstock design (as this one does) you’ve just got to want one. I’m going to go and drool over more of their Instagram photographs …
Disclaimer: I’ve not played this guitar. I have not experienced the sound or feel of this guitar. That doesn’t matter. It looks awesome, it’s obviously played by winners and I want one.
