Unlike this website which uses no colour—I generally prefer my guitars to do the same—today’s guitar from my wish list of guitars in 2013 is incredibly bright and colourful. You’ll need to visit the official Carvin JB200C website to see that colour, but I have a feeling you’ll be glad you did. As far as colours go, that is one impressive shade of blue. Of course you can upgrade to any of Carvin’s translucent finishes if blue isn’t your thing.
There’s so much to love in this guitar. The story behind this beautiful looking guitar is of course amazing (watch the video on the guitar’s official page) but the features themselves are also impressive. Look and see!
- Active cut/boost control for bass and treble.
- Phase switching control.
- Dual to single coil switching for each pickup.
- Sperzel locking tuners.
- Floyd Rose tremolo and locking nuts.
- All black hardware (awesome!)
The guitar looks beautiful. It was based on the DC200 Jason Becker had custom built for himself. If those two facts don’t justify wanting to own this guitar, nothing will.
Disclaimer: I’ve not played this guitar. I have not experienced the sound or feel of this guitar. That doesn’t matter. It looks awesome, it’s obviously played by winners and I want one.
