This year I actually did a small piece of graphic design work. Yay me! It was a really fun project where I worked with a friend I met on social media many years back through our shared love of guitars. He’s actually good at playing guitar though and has decided to share his guitar knowledge with those keen to learn. Hence this logo.
His logo requirements were relatively simple. They were:
- Simple colour palette
- Circular design for social media profile picture use
- Font choices that felt guitar-relevant
- Something graphically representative of the guitar world
The end result was this logo that incorporates a guitar string and a layout that easily crops into a circle while appearing to have a feel you’d expect to see with any kind of guitar-related business.
The mock-up image is just that … a mock-up. Hopefully soon we’ll all see the logo in real-world use. Perhaps on shirts like these—also mockups.
When this brand launches, there may be tweaks made to the design I came up with. This is the logo I came up with though.
