I have an Epiphone. It’s a beautiful guitar and I love it dearly. It’s one of the reasons I follow Epiphone on Facebook. I love seeing what they release each and every year. Recently they released their 2014 Holiday Guide—a collection of guitars and gear under $300USD. As soon as I saw it I asked myself “Why the heck are you not an American?!”
I did not have a decent answer for myself.
But I can dream. Not only can I dream, but I can write about it. So here is my dream wishlist from the Epiphone 2014 Holiday Guide. What would you buy? Or perhaps … What will you buy?!
SG Special (with Killpot)
I’d choose the Ebony model. Just because Black. Can you believe this is only $179USD?! That’s a guitar that is at least $300 here in Australia.
Slash “AFD” Les Paul Special-II Guitar Outfit
Seriously … $199USD?! There is something wrong when you can get a Slash signature model Epiphone (with a built-in Shadow E-tuner) for under $200USD. The right kind of wrong.
Dot Studio
This is one sexy semi-acoustic guitar. I love the lack of fret markers on this guitar. At $299USD it’s one of the most expensive guitars in this sale. That’s ridiculous.
DR-212
I don’t always play electric guitar, but when I do it’s a 12-string acoustic. Sorry … I had to reference a meme I like. $199USD and I once again wish I was in the USA right now.
EB-3 Bass
I’ve always loved the look of an SG style bass guitar. At $299USD this is about as good as it’s likely to get for me. Bargain.
PR-4E Acoustic/Electric Player Pack
This is perhaps the most surprising deal to me. $199USD and you get an electro-acoustic plus Epiphone amplifier (and several other goodies. That’s insane. I don’t think Epiphone know what they’re doing. If they do, I wish they’d do it in Australia.
