Don’t you hate it when your plans for weekly blog posts go to hell in a handbasket? Don’t you also hate it when a phrase or saying makes little to no sense? Hell in a handbasket … Hell would burn a handbasket.
Now I feel like I need to go back in time to fix the introduction to this article and to write this post last week when I should have. Well I can’t. But I can write about how cool the Time Traveler Delay by EC Pedals appears to be.
There we go. That introduction worked out fine after all.
I’ve written about EC Pedals before. They’ve made the awesome SuperSwitcher 2 that is like a NASA inspired control panel for your pedal collection. It’s more than that. Read about it. They also make cool pedals like the Time Traveler Delay. It’s a delay pedal. You’ve seen them before. They’re awesome. They make guitar solos sound more epic. But when used correctly, they’re more than that. That’s why I really like this pedal.
It’s not over-the-top, but it’s impressive. It does what you want it to do. It’s a simple pedal with Mix, Rate and Feedback controls and 250ms delay (with gain noise overtrails as you push the ms higher). That’s especially nifty if you want the delay trails to distort slightly at highers ms settings.
The pedal is of course true bypass and runs on a 9 volt negative tip BOSS style adapter. No batteries in this pedal. That’s so yesterday! Just don’t use your time traveler powers to go back to a time when batteries in pedals was cool. It won’t work there.
Disclaimer: I’ve not played this guitar pedal. I have not experienced first-hand the sound or effects of this guitar pedal. That doesn’t matter. It looks awesome, it’s obviously played by winners and I want one.
