Another 52 Guitars, week 17—B.C. Rich Mockingbird Extreme with Evertune bridge

My true love for metal guitar came along as I lived as a teenager through the 80s. I loved all genres of metal in the 80s, but some of the more memorable bands played the pointiest of pointy guitars and few were pointier than B.C. Rich. As I continue my series of guitars I’d love to purchase—all guitars having something new to add to my collection—the Mockingbird Extreme with Evertune bridge ticks a lot of boxes.

It doesn’t hurt that the guitar just looks amazing.

Songs that say “Go!” … the running summary list

I’ve written three articles on this subject so far. The original Songs that say “Go!”, the cleverly titled follow-up More songs that say “Go!” and the genius third article Even more songs that say “Go!”. Well, since putting those articles together, I have amassed over 50 tracks that feature that motivational line/lyric … “Go!”

I figured I may as well keep a running list of all the songs in the list—not just those that have featured in the previous articles with their embedded videos of awesomeness.

Another 52 Guitars, week 16—Grainger Guitars Hades

One trend I’m noticing more with the guitars I’m coming across for this year’s Another 52 guitars series is the craftmanship that is going into some of the more boutique luthiers I’m discovering. Honestly, I’m loving the way the modern guitars are looking. Don’t get me wrong, I love the traditional shapes as much as anyone else, but for the guitar industry to have a future I honestly believe it needs guitars that are unique. Guitars such as the Hades by Grainger Guitars. This thing is absolutely beautiful.

Even more songs that say “Go!”

Truth be told, when I made my initial article/list for Songs that say “Go!”, I had no idea how many songs I’d end up with in my playlist. After the second article, I figured “Well, that must be just about all of them”.

All I can say now as I begin this third article is that I was wrong. This list could get quite large. To prove that point, here’s several more additions to the list for your listening and viewing pleasure.
