It’s another overdrive pedal. Shock! I like my overdriven guitars, ok?! But maybe I play clean every now and then and I need to boost that sound. Nobody likes it soft. It doesn’t matter if it’s clean or dirty. Go hard or go home. Well with the Oddfellow Caveman Overdrive 2 pedal you can most likely go hard at home.
I may have been overcome with innuendos there. Sorry. Not sorry.
I know this pedal is a winner based on the audio I’ve managed to hear from the exceptional YouTube video reviews. For example. This demo has amazing tones. Clean, boosted, overdriven … The pedal sounds hot.
I love that the pedal has a pre and post overdrive switch. That adds a pretty cool layer to the pedal’s boost feature. You can boost the guitar’s tones and then add the overdrive or you can boost the guitar’s overdriven tones by going post. Awesome feature.
The pedal itself is fairly basic in controls though. You pretty much just get the controls you need to build your own perfect overdrive. Volume, Tone and Drive. With one other control knob for the Boost, you’ve all you need.
It’s basic, but it’s probably perfect. It’s simple, but that only makes the decision easier. This pedal just moved into my top five. Easy.
Disclaimer: I’ve not played this guitar pedal. I have not experienced first-hand the sound or effects of this guitar pedal. That doesn’t matter. It looks awesome, it’s obviously played by winners and I want one.
