Like a lot of people right now, I’m fairly focused on things that are happening in my own backyard (so to speak). With a lot of people in isolation—some working, some unable to—I wanted to continue my focus on dream guitars. This week with a localised, Australian focus.
Where I come from, Ormsby Guitars is an obvious choice. The TX GTR is a model I have a lot of desire for.

Before I start this next late article in my Another 52 guitars series, I want to say to all readers of this article “Stay safe”. We are clearly in times unlike any of us have experienced before. We’re all going through trying situations daily and it’s difficult for some people—myself included—to focus on the things we’d been focusing on at the beginning of this year.
Having said that, I feel like it’s important to continue to have something positive to focus on. For me, one of those focus points is the possibility of a beautiful and shiny new guitar. So today, I return to my writing about the latest guitar that has caught my eye—the Magistra by VanderMeij Guitars.

This week I thought I’d try something a little different from previous weeks. This time, I’m featuring a guitar manufacturer that is well known and that has produced one of my all-time favourite guitars—that I’m also lucky enough to already own.

Another piece of magic is this week’s dream guitar. It’s the Chapman Guitars ML2 Modern in the white finish. The finish is actually called White Dove. I assume because that’s what a magician would pull out of his/her coat. Or hat? I’m not sure, I’m not a magician.

Well, this week’s dream guitar is the Dean Zelinsky Private Label LaVoce Z-Glide Standard Solid Colours ‘Blonde Boards’. One hell of a guitar name and one hell of an awesome looking guitar.

I first discovered this week’s entry in the Another 52 guitars series when watching Jinjer videos. I saw Roman—guitarist for Jinjer—playing an unusual looking guitar and needed to know more. Once I discovered he was playing the Venus by OD Guitars, I was in Drooltown.
Drooltown is a fictitious location that has a population of at least one—me.

The problem with trying to write weekly blog posts about different guitars I’d love to own is that I spend so much time looking at the guitars, I leave myself little time to do the actual writing. This week—which should have been about two weeks ago—I’ve found myself looking at all the beautiful guitars that LT Custom Guitars has created.
Now it’s time to write about one of their models that I’d love to see more of—the ‘JM’.

I hope to improve on my tardiness issue in these weekly articles. Everything else I hope to stick with for the majority of the year.

One of the main things I like about this week’s guitar is that if I created a custom design with Schwung Guitars—which is something they allow anybody to do—this is insanely close to what I’d choose. The Schwung Crossover ivory Shark is basically the perfect Schwung guitar for me.

Week two of the new series—cleverly called Another 52 Guitars because I’ve already done a series called 52 Guitars—and I’m almost working in real time. It’s technically the beginning of the third week of the year, but I don’t follow the rules of the standard calendar.
That’s a good thing though. It allows me to do things like include a 2019 guitar in my 2020 series simply because this guitar looks awesome and I’d be as proud as a Manson Guitar Works artist to own one. The model I’ve decided I admire the most is the MA EVO 2019.
