52 Guitars, week 44—Halo Goliath Baritone

I was recently shown the Halo guitars website and I have to say their Custom Shop is incredibly appealing. You can select 6, 7 and 8 string guitars as well as 4, 5, 6 and 8 string bass guitars. So many options. For this weekly article series however I need to focus on one guitar. It was difficult, but from the Halo catalogue I have to say the Goliath Baritone 8 string guitar appeals to me a lot. A Les Paul style guitar with 33% more string? Awesome. 52 Guitars, week 44—Halo Goliath Baritone

52 Guitars, week 40—Aristides 010 Matt White

I have posted a few articles about non-wood based guitars this year. It almost seems like non-wood is the new wood. Well, it can’t be, but that’s how these sayings go. Today’s guitar is also from the non-wood family. It’s made from Arium. You’re going to have to read about that yourself. Why? Because reading about vibrationsensitive glass particles seems like learning to me. Nobody comes here to learn. People come here to discover guitars like the Aristides 010 Matt White and/or wonder why they’re here at all. 52 Guitars, week 40—Aristides 010 Matt White

52 Guitars, week 39—Normandy Guitars Chrome Archtop

There are many musical genres. This is what I’ve heard at least. For me, there is metal and there is … whatever else other people listen to. The same is also true for guitars. There are many makes and models of guitar and most of them have one thing in common … Wood. Every now and then though, you come across a guitar that stands out for the same reason my favourite musical genre does … Metal. 52 Guitars, week 39—Normandy Guitars Chrome Archtop

52 Guitars, week 38—Daisy Rock Bangles Signature Guitar

Let’s get one thing straight. I’m a man.

Now that I’ve got that off my obviously hairy chest, I’d like to add the Daisy Rock Guitars Bangles Signature model to my wishlist of 52 guitars. I’d already stated on Twitter that I was man enough to like Daisy Rock Guitars and I received an awesome response letting me know the necks are thinner and more lightweight. This is ideal for women who want to rock and lazy men like me. The advice I was given actually went like this. 52 Guitars, week 38—Daisy Rock Bangles Signature Guitar

52 Guitars, week 37—Reverend Manta Ray HB

I love a well designed double cutaway with a three-a-side headstock. It works incredibly well for the Gibson SG and it absolutely works well with the Reverend Manta Ray HB. What I love in particular with this model of Reverend guitar is that it appears symmetrical even though it isn’t as symmetrical as it could be. The headstock is angled at the end and the body has an f-hole on one side of the body. Still with all its other parts laid out, it works a treat.

My obvious favourite finish is the black, but the Tobacco Burst Flame Maple complete with Bigsby bridge is also an amazing looking guitar. 52 Guitars, week 37—Reverend Manta Ray HB

52 Guitars, week 36—Gittler Guitar

Regular readers of this blog will know I look for a few things in my guitars before I add them to this wishlist. Those things are uniqueness, the ability to purchase the guitar in black or white and that whole cool factor. According to what I’ve read in the Gittler Guitar‘s Press Kit, this guitar ticks all of those boxes. People who follow me on Twitter would also know I’m partial to metal (the musical genre). Well this guitar is almost completely metal (material). The Gittler Guitar keeps on ticking the right boxes! 52 Guitars, week 36—Gittler Guitar
