Wah pedals. There’s a pedal type I have not written a lot about in this series of 52 pedals. The main reason for that is that I don’t have a great deal of experience with wah pedals. Nor do I expect a lot from them. I want a wah pedal to enhance the guitar sound. I want it to be on when I want to use it and off when I don’t want to use it. If it can help a lead guitarist boost his or her solo work at appropriate times—and only at appropriate times—then all the better.
