This is the logo I created for the first version of my online digital graphic design portfolio. Originally all of my websites had their own brand and name—it was not very connected or obvious. The logo represents the use of ink (through the obvious ink splatter) as does the font style (by using a newspaper styled serif font). The logo is all black and white as is often my design preference.

Scarebear logo
I decided to create a brand for my main website that reflected my rough around the edges approach to all-things guitar. I’m not an expert and I’m not perfect. The logo needed to reflect that. My handle Scarebear—which has been a nickname of mine for over 20 years—also implies something that is primal. To date this logo has been applied—in varying formats—to my website, plectrums and business cards.
